Who are Apricity?

We are a specialist fertility clinic delivering a highly-personalised, end-to-end fertility experience. We have our own doctors and nurses and don't merely signpost you to local services as other companies may do. We have a 4.88/5 rating on Doctify, and pair each patient with a personal fertility advisor and dedicated care team.

  • UspBlockAltImage
    Remote first

Patients only need two clinic visits per IVF cycle compared to nine or ten times with a traditional fertility clinic. This is because we can offer at home blood tests for you to then post back to our clinics for analysis. Our advisors are available seven days a week on extended hours, by text or by phone in the UK.

  • UspBlockAltImage
    Data-driven approach

We use machine learning and data from 50,000 fertility treatment cycles to optimise chances of success, with a 46% success rate per cycle vs the UK average of 31%.*

    Next-generation clinic

Our bespoke mobile app provides the best-in-class support services to help you navigate your fertility journey. Track your progress with daily reminders of medication and appointments, and instant chat for contact with your dedicated advisor and medical team 7 days a week.

1. Testing and Diagnosis

Experts recommend checking your fertility if you have been trying to conceive for more than six months and you're over 35, or if you've been trying to conceive for more than 12 months and are under 35. Remember that infertility is not always down to the woman (see male infertility in section 5).

2. What is IVF and how does it work?

The most well-known procedure to boost fertility is In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF). With IVF, eggs and sperm are combined in a lab. Successfully fertilised embryos are transferred back into the woman's uterus to grow in the womb, and surplus embryos can be frozen for future cycles.

Read these useful blogs for more information on this life-changing procedure.

3. Other types of fertility treatment

While IVF is the best known method of treatment, it is not always the most suitable. A fertility clinic will create a personalised plan for each patient depending on their needs, which may include IVF or any of the following other methods:

Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI)
Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET)

4. Fertility options for same sex couples

Infertility doesn't discriminate. If your company is committed to inclusivity, you will want to provide fertility care for everyone regardless of race, sexual orientation or gender identity. There is a range of inclusive benefits to support your LGBTQ+ employees, including:

Surrogacy for LGBTQIA+ people
Shared motherhood and reciprocal IVF
Fertility care for trans and non-binary people

transgender fertility

5. Male infertility

Infertility is often seen as a female problem, but male issues are the most common reasons for IVF in the UK, playing a role in 50% of cases. As well as sperm quality, men can play a pivotal emotional support role in an often stressful process.

6. Egg Donation

Every year in the UK, thousands of women and couples discover that they will not be able to conceive with their own eggs, and need the help of an egg donor to have a child.

This can be due to cancer treatment, poor egg quality or other medical conditions, as well as same sex couples that need the help of a surrogate to have a child. Apricity can help partner you with a donor egg match to help conceive, to hear more about how someone becomes an egg donor and how IVF works with donor eggs, please look at the below links.

7. Preservation - Egg and Embryo Freezing

There are many options when it comes to those who would like to preserve their own fertility until a later date. Examples vary and range from ‘social’ egg freezing (for those who are not ready to start a family yet) to freezing for medical reasons, for example helping people with endometriosis (a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb grows in other places), to those undergoing cancer or other hormone treatments. See the links below for more information.
