What’s IVF + ICSI?
Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) is a powerful treatment injecting sperm directly into the egg, offering hope for couples facing male infertility.
Your ICSI treatment starts with a virtual doctor consultation where you and your partner can share your medical history and treatment preferences. Following your fertility test results, and ICSI is decided to be the most appropriate pathway, the treatment process can be broken down into five steps:
Success Rates
While ICSI is not always a guaranteed successful procedure, it has a slightly higher rate of success compared to IVF on its own. This is due to the fact that the injection process ensures that the sperm always enters the egg, which is more likely to result in an embryo.

Dr Luca Sabatani
Chief Medical OfficerConsultant Gynaecologist and Obstetrician Dr Luca Sabatini is Apricity’s Chief Medical Officer, responsible for implementing Apricity’s clinical strategy while delivering on our mission to patients. Dr Sabatini brings over 25 years of clinical, academic and personal experience of reproductive medicine to the team. He is an expert in advanced endoscopy, and his clinical interests include endometriosis, fibroids, tubal surgery, ovarian, adenomyosis, alongside many more. Please note Dr Luca doesn't see patients.
Dr Lisa Stradiotto
Consultant in Gynaecology & Reproductive MedicineDr Lisa Stradiotto has over 15 years of experience in general Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and is one of the Fertility Specialists at Apricity. Her dedicated experience in the field of Reproductive Medicine includes work in both NHS units (at The Chelsea & Westminster Assisted Conception Unit and Queen Charlotte’s, Imperial College, IVF Unit) and also in the private sector. She is a member of the Royal College of Obstetrician and Gynaecologists. Dr Stradiotto is passionate about her work, and areas of special interest include fertility preservation and egg donation.
